VAT Exemption Information

Crutches, ferrules and handgrips within our range are exempt from VAT for eligible individuals. The government requires that you complete a VAT Exemption Declaration Form. A VAT Exemption Declaration Form is included in the ordering process.

Who can claim VAT Exemption Relief on purchases?
Eligible Individuals: If you are chronically sick or disabled and the products are for your personal use. 'Chronic' meaning lasting a long time.
Eligible Charities: Where the goods are made available by the charity to a disabled person for their personal or domestic use.

Which law covers this notice?

The VAT Act 1994:
• Section 30 holds that goods and services specified in Schedule 8 to the Act are zero-rated; and
• Schedule 8, Group 12 (as amended by SI 1997/2744, SI 2000/805 and 2001/754) specifies the zero-rated goods and services explained in this notice.
