If you struggle with added weight to your crutches or cane, or are looking for a little extra grip, this is the ferrule for you.

Each Ultralite High Performance Ferrule comes in a 3/4" diameter / 19 mm size and adds an additional 3 cm height to our standard ferrules. They are available to buy as singles or pairs, and fit all of our crutches and walking sticks.

When changing your rubber tips, it is key to check the grey plugs in the bottom of your sticks are secure before putting the new ones on. For more information about how to change your rubber tips on crutches and walking sticks please see our How To Videos.

So pleased

I'm so pleased I ordered the Ferrules. Looking at them when they arrived, I was concerned that they might feel bulky and heavy. Although they felt a little strange at first, it wasn't long before I had adjusted to the change, and was aware of how secure and safe they felt. I'm really pleased with them, and will be buying more for my growing collection of walking sticks!

Excellent product. I no longer have the possibility of my walking stick sliding out from under me when walking in some shops/restaurants. Had quite a few slips and falls with a traditional ferrule, no longer a problem and it’s feels more sturdy.

Great feel so stable with them.

Made using the stick so much easier as balance is improved and stick doesn't skitter away on lino :)

Favourite walking stick

I have purchased Cool crutches from yourselves in the past very comfortable walking stick & feel secure with them.
When I had the chance to have my design on a walking stick I thought I would go for it. I was over the moon with the result I know there isn’t going to be another one like it. I was also impressed with the grip on the stick it was soft & very comfortable. With arthritic hands & wrists this went a long way in making the walking stick very comfortable. Apart from the tiny lock that is difficult to remove for adjustment of the height, it is a solid and dependable walking stick.
