New Year, New You?

Every January we kick off the New Year with renewed resolutions and enthusiastic plans. Research suggests it takes 21 days to create a new habit which means if you’re still bossing your resolutions today then huge Congratulations, you’ve nailed it!

However, if your resolutions are looking a little rusty, rest assured you’re not alone. This year Red Magazine have launched their ‘You Are Enough’ campaign and we couldn’t want to support it more.

Don’t get us wrong, we love a fresh start and nothing beats the opportunity to make a change for the better and/or giving something up (like eating 400,000 Maltesers every Sunday). However, turning resolutions into reality is much harder for some than others.

There are over 11 million people living in the UK who are living with a long term prognosis, illness or disability. So for many, simply getting up and getting through a normal day with a smile is a serious achievement. What’s more, one which would knock most off their feet (mind the pun)!

Our followers consistently amaze us with their strength, courage and kindness. So instead of focusing on New Year’s Resolutions which may or may not be kicking on into a habit today, we will be concentrating on how much we have already achieved. 2019 for us, is about building on our happiness by prioritising ourselves, our friends and our families in 2019! #youareenough #newyearnewyou #passthemaltesers
