I find it very secure, especially on damp surgsces.
I think its a bit over priced though.
Initially I held off buying a walking stick from Cool Crutches because I didn't think that my needs justified such an expense. However, after getting a cheaper folding stick I realised that using one was helping me more than I expected. Then came the noise! Click, click, click, every step, gradually the sound started to bore into my brain. I avoided using the stick - I am neurodiverse so sound can be a big trigger for me. As a result my fatigue an pain got worse.
Finally, after spending too long trying to choose which pattern, I brought my Cool Crutches walking stick. I thought that perhaps the 'no noise' marketing might be an exaggeration, but I am delighted to report pure silence - It is bliss!
Although the original ferrule was fine I changed mine to a flexyfoot ferrule as I find them more comfortable with how I need to walk and stand. Using the stick is comfortable and feels sturdy and safe.
I find the handle good - better than the alternatives. However, for me it would have been better if it was little bit bigger or had slightly more surface where the base of the thumb goes - as I get a lot of hand and base of thumb pain.
Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. I don't love needing to use a walking stick at 37 but with a stick I have chosen, which makes me smile I have taken a little bit of control over the situation and that helps me. Thank you.
This is perfect to stop your sticks or crutches falling over. A great product
