The replacement forearm cuff sits gently around your forearm to provide extra support. Using a cuff enables you to use your hand to pick up something whilst resting your crutch, but prevents the crutch from falling. For example, if you were opening a door the cuff would hang from your arm whilst you opened the door, without falling to the floor. Each cuff is removable so you have the choice as to whether or not you wish to use it.
If you are weight bearing whilst using a crutch, these cuffs are essential and life changing when going about your day to day business. It will allow you to carry objects as well as use your hand whilst standing and will prevent any risky bending to pick up your crutch.
How to add / remove the cuff
To replace or remove the arm cuff, squeeze both arms of the cuff (where the separation point is) in towards each other together hard and pull away from the crutch. To put a new forearm cuff onto your crutch, reverse the process & clip the hinge on. Cuffs are available to buy singly and also in pairs.
