Mother's Day Gift Guide - Amelia & Clare Share What They Really Want!
Whether you're looking for presents to buy mums living with a disability or if you have a disability or injury yourself and are looking for gifts to say thank you to your non disabled mum, we've got you covered.
As a mother and daughter founded business, Amelia & Clare share a few things in common and children is just one of these things. Whilst Amelia is living as a disabled parent with young children and Clare is living as a non disabled parent with adult children, we thought it would be interesting to hear what gifts they'd love in the hope they inspire you and the mums in your life!
Amelia's Mother's Day Wish List
For me, comfort is about the best thing anyone can give me no matter what time of year so I'm always grateful for things like pyjamas, heat pads, hot water bottles, heated blankets and cosy bits! My top 3 presents for Mother's Day?
- Spa Treatment - such a luxury and whilst a massage or facial are lovely, a gift I think always goes a thousand miles is a pedicure! If you use a walking aid chances are your feet could always do with with a treat. A voucher for a pedicure is a lovely gift to give someone who uses a walking stick or crutches.
- Flowers - I love them, don't need to be expensive or flash, a bunch of daffodils from a supermarket are lovely and make for such a cheerful addition at home or in the office!
- Stick Safe - little things that make a BIG difference are always top of my list, this small, subtle walking stick and crutches strap will ensure if you're used to your stick crashing to the floor you can pop one of these on and happily think 'not anymore'!
Clare's Mother's Day Wish List
For me, anything relaxing or having fun with my children is top of my list this Mother's Day:
- A Really Good Book - I'm absolutely loving None of This is True by Lisa Jewell (if you're a fan of an addictive psychologically thriller you will too), available in print but I actually prefer audiobooks which mean I can relax with a cup of tea and switch off.
- Facial - like Amelia I love a spa treatment, I would choose a facial as it's such a rare treat and always makes me relax!
- Pub Lunch - what I'd really love is lunch with my children in a pub somewhere, all being together is a rare occasion now but it's fab when it happens!
Whatever you're planning this Mother's Day, we hope these ideas help treat you and your loved ones.
